Enterprises in Vietnam recently sent an application to the Competition Administration Department (MOIT) requirements apply safeguard measures (safeguard tax) for coated galvanized steel. Accordingly, this is the fourth case in Vietnam enterprises for imported steel products.

Accordingly, this is the fourth case in Vietnam steel enterprises conducted for the import of steel products, including cold-rolled stainless steel (stainless steel), cast steel and long steel, coated steel (galvanized steel), and painted galvanized steel (PPGI).
Most recently, in early May 3-2016, Ministry of Industry and Trade has conducted surveys applying anti-dumping measures for color coated galvanized steel yet (galvanized steel) imported from China (including Hong Kong ) and South Korea. Preliminary conclusions of the case is expected to be announced on 1-6-2016, but then was removed 60 days.
Show billet and long products imported from many countries and regions in Vietnam are temporary safeguard duty, 23.3% respectively and 14.2%, during the period from the date of 22-3- 2016 to end on 7-10-2016.
In 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to imposition of anti-dumping (AD) for certain products, cold-rolled stainless steel imports from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan. At the end of the month 4-2016, Ministry of Industry decided to lift anti-dumping tariff on cold rolled stainless steel imports from China and Indonesia, while mitigating anti-dumping tariff on products imported from Malaysia after conducting a review .
