US Commerce postponed the conclusion of the anti-dumping duty rolled carbon steel pipe

Dated 12.11.2015, the International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a preliminary decision for the anti-dumping investigation against rolled carbon steel pipe products (Circular Welded Carbon-Quality Steel Pipe - CWP ) of the 5 countries including Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan (under investigation simultaneous CVD), the Philippines and Vietnam.

 

In this notice, the ITC decided to continue to conduct anti-dumping investigations by identified with signs that US industry significantly affected by the CWP goods imported from Oman, the State of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam has sold less than normal value and benefits for Pakistan. ITC decided to terminate the investigation to determine the amount of the Philippines due to imported goods is negligible.
Referring to the decision of the Commission, United States Department of Commerce (DOC) will continue to conduct surveys on the expected conclusion of the preliminary anti-dumping duty will be determined on or about 05 / 04/2016.
Earlier, on 11.18.2015, the DOC has issued notice to initiate an investigation. Value for welding carbon steel pipe imports from Vietnam into the United States in 2014 was 60.6 million - the largest among the countries under investigation. Besides, the alleged dumping margin for Vietnam now also the highest at 113.18%.
