Complete negotiations TPP history

TPP was originally named P-4 group formed by the four countries are Chile, New Zealand, Singapore and Mexico. 9/2008, USA declares join TPP and early 2009, Vietnam decided to join the TPP as associate members. 11/2010, after taking 3 TPP negotiations as this, Vietnam officially joined the TPP negotiations. Until now, there are 12 countries participating in the TPP negotiations including New Zealand, Brunei, Chile, Singapore, Australia, Peru, USA, Malaysia, Vietnam, Canada, Mexico and Japan.

 

TPP is a free trade agreement under the open multilateral, including not only the market access problems in goods and services but also the non-commercial sector. According to estimates, after effect, TPP will become the region's largest free trade world with 800 million people. TPP is one of the important trade negotiations of Vietnam.

 

After 12 countries signed the agreement on the TPP, this document must receive the approval of the government and National Assembly members to take effect. So far the TPP remains a controversial topic in the US Congress. Senator Ron Wyden Democratic member of the Senate Finance Committee, has called for the US Trade Representative Michael Froman to ensure the results of negotiations to facilitate better access to markets for manufacturers US dairy products.

 

Meanwhile, a group of 45 Members of Congress sent a letter to US Trade Representative requested Froman TPP negotiations to accelerate liberalization of the sugar market between TPP member countries, said that in exchange for the right to increase US sugar market access for TPP member countries, the other members of the TPP countries must open their markets to US exporters of agricultural products.

 

Earlier, Chairman Orrin Hatch Standing Senate dated 29/9 declared Obama administration "should not rush" to conclude negotiations without achieving the requirements for market access, intellectual property rights and the Other priorities under the Bill of Rights for Trade Acceleration (TPA) was passed by the US Congress, if not, the agreement reached will be difficult to get parliamentary approval.
