Cold rolled steel products subject to anti-dumping duty

The investigation agency of Malaysia have officially imposed anti-dumping cold rolled steel imported from Vietnam. The application deadline is 5 years tax rate from the date of 24-5.

 

Ministry of Industry and International Trade Malaysia (MITI) has issued a final decision on the case of anti-dumping investigation with cold rolled steel products imported from Vietnam, Korea and China.
 
Accordingly, the anti-dumping duty for each specific country as follows: 5.61% -23.7% Chinese, 3.78% South Korea 3.06% -21.64% Vietnam - 13.68%.
 
As well as notified by MITI, black plate steel products (or black iron), the cold rolled steel products used for auto mechanics will be removed from the list of products subject to the tax.
 
This tax rate is applied from the official date of 24-5 and will be applicable for a period of 5 years. This is the 2nd item of the Vietnam Steel into the Malaysian market were anti-dumping duties, then color coated sheet products.
 
Earlier, on 27-8-2015, Malaysia has initiated an investigation on the incident and on 22-1-2016, MITI issued a preliminary conclusion about the incident.
 
Products under investigation apply anti-dumping measures: Steel cold rolled alloy and non-alloy 0,2mm- 2,6mm thickness from 700mm-1300mm and width from. HS: 7209.15 000 7209.16 000 7209.17 000 7209.18 290 7225.50 7209.18 900 and 000 (AHTN Code: 7209.15.00, 7209.16.00, 7209.17.00, 7209.18.99, 7225.50.10 and 7225.50.90).
 
In its preliminary conclusions, investigating authorities determine that there exists the dumping of steel products under investigation originating in China, Korea and Vietnam; and there exist significant damage to manufacturing similar products of Malaysia and the import of goods under investigation.
