Apply temporary safeguard measures on steel billets and long steel imports

Temporary safeguard measures are applied tariff is 23.3% relative to 14.2% for billets and long steel, the maximum applied within 200 days from the start date.
Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision No. 862 / QD-BCT on the application of temporary safeguard measures on steel billet and steel products imported into Vietnam long.
Accordingly, based on the preliminary conclusions of the investigation, temporary safeguard measures applicable tax rate is 23.3% relative to 14.2% billets and longs for. In addition, this measure is applied within a maximum of 200 days from the start date to apply temporary safeguard measures.
However, these safeguards are not applied to goods originating from the least developed countries if the number of countries importing goods into Vietnam does not exceed 3% of total imports of goods investigation for application of safeguard measures and the total amount of goods imported into Vietnam countries under 9% of the total volume of imports under investigation for application of safeguard measures.

Products are required to investigate the application of safeguard measures is found billets and longs for HS: 7207.11.00, 7207.19.00, 7207.20.29, 7207.20.99, 7224.90.00, 7213.10.00, 7213.91 .20, 7214.20.31, 7214.20.41, 7227.90.00, 7228.30.10, 9811.00.00.
Date 12/30/2015, investigating agencies have sent survey questionnaires to the parties involved. Duration Answering the questionnaire is 30 days from the date of sending the questionnaire survey, ie before 17h00 on 29/01/2016.
